Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Created for Cleveland Clinic's event-of-the-season philanthropy events, the Florida Ball. This "dramatic" watercolor was featured on invitations and the event program. At the conclusion of the highly successful night, Somewhere Over the Rainbow was auctioned, and I believe the event chair welcomed this piece into her home.

Lake Lucerne

When my clients wanted to surprise their parents with a 50th anniversary trip, they asked me to paint a meaningful view of "their favorite place on earth." The piece was beautifully framed, expertly wrapped, and you can imagine the delight of the couple when the finally figured out exactly why they'd received this piece, a hint of the vacation-of-a-lifetime to come.

Descending From Above

During a pivotal period in my son's teen years, Mike was in deep conversation when his mentor turned to point out out something in the distance. To the complete surprise of both of them, a dove landed on his outstretched hand. Although he knew he would never forget that day, Mike wanted the meaning of the moment captured and honored forever.

Remembering Dad

Her mother's birthday approaching, my client, Kathy, reached out, asking if I could paint a cardinal, her father's favorite bird. This sweet painting now perches by her mother's favorite reading nook.

Big Wolf, Little Wolf Wall Mural

As a parent, I read 100s of storybooks to my children over the years. Perhaps my favorite was that of two wolves — a delightful, tender tale of sharing and caring in a blossoming friendship. Written by Nadine Brun-Cosme, translated from its original French, and illustrated by Olivier Tallec, "Big Wolf Little Wolf" made its way onto our powder room walls.

Leila

When Jennifer wanted to surprise her husband for Christmas, she asked me to paint a colorful, vibrant portrait of their miniature schnauzer. My client had a very clear vision of the "look" she wanted for the piece and provided a number of samples to guide the overall feel.
